Removing items by accident is a thing of the past (with the new trash function)
It can happen to the best of us, accidentally removing an important document or message. This is a thing of the past with our new trash function, which allows you to put the item back with a single click of a button. Being able to replace accidentally removed items is a common request we get from Mett users.
Trash function as ‘soft delete’
Before, it wasn’t possible to replace accidentally removed items yourself. We solved this problem. With this new function, moderators have 30 days to retrieve an item in their personal trash and replace it by simply clicking the ‘recover’ button.
All Mett moderators now have a trash can that keeps removed items for a maximum of 30 days. You could describe it as a kind of soft delete. On the My Mett page, which also contains all the updates to items you’ve subscribed to, you can also see the files you uploaded and your trash. In this trash, you can permanently delete files (hard delete) or recover items. If you recover an item, it is moved to its original location. If you leave an item in the trash, it will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
